Following the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework, with Common Core Skills and Knowledge for OFSTED Registration.

This course provides you with the skills and knowledge needed to care for and help grow the potential of the children you will look after.  It is suitable for any childcarer wanting to enhance their career potential, whether a seasoned professional or just starting out.

The course is taught at OCN Level 3 for those who prefer to be a Nanny  (Employed and travels to / lives-in the home of the children)

The course is taught at OCN Level 2 for those who prefer to be a Childminder (Self Employed, looking after children within their own home)

If you wish for both Level 2 and Level 3, firstly attend Level 2.  Once Level 2 is completed it is possible to Upgrade to Level 3 for a small fee.

On completion of the 1 day course, students are given coursework to be completed within 2 weeks.  If the coursework needs improvement not to worry, an additional 2 weeks are permitted!

How to Book a Course

Book your place simply by clicking the "BOOK" button beside the course date of your choice.  Places are limited and will be allocated on a strictly first-come, first-served basis.  Once payment has been received, an email will be sent confirming your place and details of the course within 24 hours.

Q: How long is the course?

A) It’s a one day course which starts at 9:30am and finishes between 5:30 and 6:00pm to make sure that all the areas of the course are covered.  Following the course you are assigned some coursework, to be completed in your free time.

Q: Is the course just for nannies?

A) The course provides you with the skills and knowledge needed to care for and help grow the potential of the children you will look after.  It is suitable for any childcarer wanting to enhance their career potential, whether a seasoned professional or just starting out.

Q: Will this course make it easier for me to find work in childcare?

A) Naturally all parents want what’s best for their children, and the best is a Nanny/Babysitter/Au Pair who holds qualifications showing she/he is serious about her/his career in childcare and serious about   ensuring the best possible care for the child or children you will be looking after. This OFSTED Early Years course is the cheapest on the market for childminders and is required for all childminders who want to legally register on the early years register.

Q: When will I receive my certificate?  

A) Once the course has been completed, you will have two weeks to complete the assigned coursework.  Should you not pass you wiill be able to resubmit your coursework. You will have a maximum of one month to complete the coursework following the course date. Once successfuly completed, allow a couple of weeks for your certificate to be processed and sent out to you.

Travelling using Public Transport

The closest underground stations are Oxford Circus (Bakerloo, Central and Victoria lines) and Goodge Street (Northern line). We are about a 7 minute walk from both stations.

Buses to Goodge Street: 10, 14, 24, 29, 73, 134 and 390

Buses to Oxford Street: 10, 25, 55, 73, 98 and 390

Travelling with a car

If you decide to drive to the course venue please note that we are within the congestion charge zone. There are a few Paid-For Bays from 08:30 - 18:30 at £4.00 an hour Monday - Saturday. There are also Resident Bays 08:30 – 20:30 everyday (Inc Bank Holidays) which you CANNOT park in. Drivers can park on single yellow lines on Sundays.

Candidates arriving more than ten minutes late to a course may be refused entry.

Due to the limited number of places on our courses, we can only confirm places once payment has been received.

We require ten business days notice of any cancellations in order to change to a different date.  No refunds will be given.

If for any reason we have to cancel a course, we will notify all candidates at the earliest opportunity and reschedule if possible.
