Stay Safe from Internet Scammers
There are dodgy people everywhere in life and we all need to take care to avoid them!
Today’s internet community has fallen fowl to scammers…they are in every nook and cranny the web has to offer. Such is the problem globally that police are unable to deal with inquiries.
Unfortunately our little website is victim to such nasty scammers who we would gladly remove. But like all websites today, our only option is to ensure our lovely users understand the dangers of the internet today… So, in advance, we would like to apologise for any trouble you may experience using our free little site...
Scotland Yard gave Find A Babysitter.com a little advice:
1. Use your smart little head: If it sounds too good to be true it probably is!
2. DO NOT EVER give out your Bank Account or personal address details to persons you have not even met. An employer will only require these when you start the job
3. MEET POSSIBLE EMPLOYERS FACE TO FACE: Never go abroad for a job prior to meeting the employer first in person
4. CHEQUE MORE THAN AMOUNT PROMISED: Yikes! This sound amazing? Well it is! An "fake" employer will send you a cheque worth more than the amount agreed and then ask you to return the extra money. The cheque will clear into your bank, only to be refused later. At this point, the Bank will take the full cheque amount back out of your account. DON’T EVER ACCEPT PAYMENT FROM AN EMPLOYER PRIOR TO YOUR EMPLOYMENT COMMENCING
We can assure you that 99% of the families using our friendly little website are absolutely genuine - it is those 1% who try to ruin it for everyone : If you take our advise and respond only to those emails genuine your experience of www.findababysitter.com, and indeed the internet generally, will be positive, rewording, exhilarating, fun, successful ....
We do hope you enjoy our free community website (ours is the only one) and encourage others to use it for what we intended - to help lovely nannies find lovely families :)
All the best.
