Staying Safe

Our mission is to make the experience of searching for childcare and finding local childcare jobs as simple and safe as possible for parents, Childcare Professionals, and childcare agencies.

Our moderators check user profiles before approving them, however Findababysitter.com is a community site so if you spot a profile, job advert or message of concern please contact our customer care team immediately.

Advice for community members

Communicate using the findababysitter.com messaging service rather than relying on phone calls, text messaging or your personal email address. This guards your identification and allows us to monitor for suspect activity and remove fraudsters from the site.

Don't give out your personal information and never accept a cheque or any form of payment before the interview.

Before accepting a job offer, always meet the family / individual firstly in a public place to be on the safe side.  Ask to see ID to confirm who you're meeting with.

If the person uses odd language, complicates things, has a very sympathetic story, their information changes and/or they are impatient - this could indicate that the person is a fraudster.

Please report any suspicious activity to us here, contact@findababysitter.com or by using the 'Report' link on a message from another user.
